Apple Streusel Melts
Ingredients for Apple Streusel Melts:
2 tablespoons light margarine, chilled and cut into pieces
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon sugar substitute
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 cup 2:90 granola
One container 2:90 vanilla yogurt with fiber (providing up to 90 calories)
Nonstick cooking spray
1 large unpeeled apple, cored and sliced
Procedure for Apple Streusel Melts:
- In a large bowl, combine granola, brown sugar, sugar substitute, and cinnamon. Mix together until it well blended. Use a pastry cutter or 2 dull knives to cut the margarine into the granola mixture until it comes with the coarse meal.
- Pre heat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a round baking dish with nonstick spray. Arrange slices of apple into the prepared baking dish. Garnish with streusel topping then bake for about 60 minutes or until the Apple streusel melts is bubbling.
- When it is completely done, remove from the oven then let it cool completely into the wire rack.
